Animations are turned off on my device

Short answerWhen your device asks for less motion, SEOmise shows its pages without animations. A small note with Mise says so once and shows how to change it, or lets you play the animations on this site only.

Updated October 24, 2026

Why the animations do not play

Your device has a setting that asks websites for less motion. Windows switches it on when Animation effects is off, and Macs, iPhones, iPads and Android phones have their own. SEOmise follows it: every page works the same, you just do not see the movement, such as the rocket launch when you join the beta.

The note with Mise

The first time you visit with that setting on, a small card with Mise appears in a bottom corner (at the bottom of the screen on phones). It never covers a form or its button, and it does not come back once closed. It offers:

  • Show me how: the steps for your system first, the others under "Other devices", and Check again after you changed the setting and refreshed the page.
  • Play animations on this site: SEOmise plays its animations for you anyway, on this site and in this browser only. Your device setting is not changed.
  • Keep them off: closes the note for good.

Turning animations on for your whole device

  • Windows 11: Settings → Accessibility → Visual effects → turn on "Animation effects".
  • Windows 10: Settings → Ease of Access → Display → turn on "Show animations in Windows".
  • Mac: System Settings → Accessibility → Display → turn off "Reduce motion".
  • iPhone and iPad: Settings → Accessibility → Motion → turn off "Reduce Motion".
  • Android: Settings → Accessibility → turn off "Remove animations" (the names vary by maker).

Refresh the page afterwards.

Changing your mind

"Animations: off" or "Animations: on" at the bottom of the website (and on your beta pass) switches this site's animations on or off again at any time. Many people turn animations off on purpose, for example because movement on screen makes them feel unwell: nothing ever turns them on without your click.
