Cookie Policy
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for the site to work; others are optional. The law lets us set the strictly necessary ones without asking; for anything else we ask first.
2. The cookies we set
| Cookie | What it does | How long | Category |
|---|---|---|---|
| seomise-session | Keeps you signed in and links your requests together. | 120 minutes without activity | Strictly necessary |
| XSRF-TOKEN | Protects forms against cross-site request forgery. | as long as the session | Strictly necessary |
| seomise_consent | Remembers your cookie choice and its version. | 180 days | Strictly necessary |
| seomise_trust_… | Remembers a device you chose to trust for two-step sign-in (only if you tick it). | 30 days | Strictly necessary |
| seomise_hv | A random number set only when you ask the help assistant (Ask Mise) a question or rate an article, so it can follow the conversation and apply fair-use limits. | 30 days | Strictly necessary |
| seomise_fa | A random number set only when you run a free audit, so the daily free-audit limit works and you can find your audit again. | 1 year | Strictly necessary |
| seomise_region | Remembers the currency and region you chose for prices. | 1 year | Strictly necessary |
| seomise_region_asked | Remembers that you answered the "show prices in your currency?" question. | 1 year | Strictly necessary |
| seomise_desktop | Set only when you choose the desktop view on a phone. | 1 year | Strictly necessary |
The cookie banner groups cookies into three categories:
- Strictly necessary: sign-in, security (protecting forms, the firewall) and remembering your choice. Always on.
- Analytics: counting visits and how pages are used, so we can improve the site.
- Marketing: measuring campaigns and showing relevant offers on other sites.
3. Optional cookies
We do not use advertising, analytics or other third-party tracking cookies. If that changes, we will ask for your consent first; you can review your choice at any time with Cookie settings.
Your choice is stored in a cookie for 180 days and recorded with the version of this policy and the time, so we can show what you agreed to. When we publish a new version of this policy, we ask again.
4. Other storage
- Pop-ups on this website keep their counts (how often a pop-up showed, when you closed it) in your browser's own storage, and no cookie is set. We count pop-up views and clicks per day; your IP address is used only as a keyed hash, for that day, to stop counting the same visitor too often.
- Live view on our customers' websites: if a customer adds the Live view tracker to their own site, that customer decides what it records and must ask for consent where needed.
5. How to control cookies
- Use Cookie settings, linked in the footer of every page, to allow or refuse optional cookies at any time.
- You can also block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, signing in and forms will not work.
