The product
What does SEOmise do?
It scans your website the way a search engine does, grades what it finds and draws it as a live site map. It reads your backlinks, Google data and (if you connect it) your Google Business Profile, then turns all of it into one prioritised plan. Fixes you approve can be published to your site through the SEOmise connector, and every scan afterwards is compared with your first one — your Day 0 baseline.
Do you guarantee rankings?
No. Nobody outside Google can. SEOmise shows the evidence, recommends work in order of likely impact, and measures what changed after each action.
Does it work with my website platform?
Scanning works with any public website, whatever it is built on. Publishing fixes and cookie-free visitor statistics need the SEOmise connector, which is available for WordPress (including WooCommerce) and Laravel; a universal connector for other PHP sites reports visits only. Hosted platforms such as Shopify, Wix or Squarespace can be scanned and measured with Google data, but SEOmise cannot publish changes to them.
What does the AI do, and can I switch it off?
AI ranks and explains the tasks in your plan, drafts review replies, Google posts and copy for local pages, and summarises reports. Every suggestion lists its evidence, and sentences with numbers that are not in the data are dropped. If AI is not available, the plan is ordered by its rules and every manual workflow keeps working.
What is the Day 0 baseline?
The first complete scan of a site is kept for as long as the project exists. Every later scan is compared with it and with the previous scan, so you can see exactly what changed and whether the work you did moved anything.
Approvals and publishing
Will SEOmise change my site without asking?
No. A proposed change shows a before-and-after preview and waits for someone with the right role to approve it. Bulk, destructive or page-creating changes count as high risk and need an owner or admin. Nothing is bought or published without approval.
What happens if a change goes wrong?
After publishing, SEOmise checks the connector's own read-back and then the public page. If the change does not verify, it is rolled back automatically (unless you turned that off). You can also roll back any completed change yourself; the connector restores the snapshot it took before the change.
Does it work with Yoast SEO, Rank Math or SEOPress?
Yes. The WordPress plugin writes titles and meta descriptions into the fields of Yoast SEO, Rank Math or SEOPress when one of them is active, and uses its own head output otherwise.
Data and integrations
What do I need for Google Business Profile?
A Google account that manages your business profile. Google must also approve Business Profile API access for the SEOmise installation; until then, local features show a clear notice.
Where do rankings and backlink numbers come from?
Rank tracking and keyword data come from DataForSEO; backlink data from DataForSEO, Moz or SEOmise's own link checks. Provider metrics always show their source and date — they are not presented as SEOmise's own numbers. Some features switch on only once the provider is connected to your installation.
Are the visitor statistics cookie-free?
Yes. The WordPress connector counts daily totals without cookies or stored IP addresses: a visitor is recognised for one day by a keyed hash whose key is replaced daily and never kept. The statistics stay on your site; SEOmise reads the totals when you open the dashboard.
Pricing and billing
How are backlink placements charged?
Separately from your plan. You see the exact price, fees and supplier summary before approving. Nothing is ordered until someone with spend approval confirms, and monthly spend caps apply.
Are paid links labelled?
Yes, always. Compliance mode prefers earned, PR, citation and rel="sponsored" or nofollow placements and marks paid dofollow placements as higher risk.
Can I cancel?
Yes, at any time from your account. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
Can I change plan later?
Yes. Plans can be upgraded, changed or cancelled from your account without contacting us.
Privacy and security
Who can see my data?
Only people in your workspace, according to their role. Every record belongs to one workspace and every query is scoped to it; requests for another workspace's data answer "not found".
How are my Google and provider keys stored?
Encrypted at rest, never sent to your browser and never written to logs. Disconnecting Google stops sync and removes the local tokens.
Does the crawler respect robots.txt?
Yes. SEOmiseBot reads robots.txt and sitemaps, honours Crawl-delay up to 10 seconds, does not submit forms or log in, and refuses private network addresses. See SEOmiseBot.
