How do I schedule a report?

Short answerMake any report on a schedule: once, every week, month or quarter, on the day and hour you choose in your time zone. SEOmise makes it on its own, as you, from data it already has, and e-mails it to the people you chose with a private link and the PDF. Reports that need sign-off are sent only once they are signed off.

Set it up

  1. In Reports, choose the report and its choices (project, period, sections, brand) as if you were making it.
  2. Press Make it on a schedule.
  3. Choose how often (once, every week, every month or every quarter), the day, the hour and the time zone. The period is the one you chose, such as "Last month", so each run reports on its own month.
  4. Choose who receives it: people of your workspace who may read the report, and, if your workspace allows it, other addresses. For other addresses, confirm that those people agreed to receive the report.
  5. Choose whether the PDF is attached (larger files go as a link) and press Schedule it.

Your plan sets how many scheduled reports you can keep.

What happens

At the time, SEOmise makes the report as the person who set the schedule up, with that person's permissions, and keeps it in the library. Each recipient gets an e-mail with a private link to the report as it was made (names and e-mails are always left out of e-mailed reports) and, when chosen, the PDF. With white label the e-mail and the link use your brand. Before sending, each person is checked again: someone who can no longer read the report is left out.

If the report needs sign-off, it waits in the library and the people who may sign it off are reminded; it is sent the moment it is signed off, never before.

Look after your schedules

Reports → Schedules lists every schedule with its next and last run. Pause or Switch on, Make it now for an extra report, Change the time or the recipients, or Delete it (reports already made stay). A schedule that fails three times in a row (by default; for example because its project was deleted) pauses itself and tells you why.
