How do I publish articles and pages straight to Shopify, Webflow or Wix?

Short answerSettings → Hosted publishing → Connect your platform and approve SEOmise there. Choose where items go (a Shopify blog, a Webflow collection and its Rich text field, or the Wix author). Then on an article or a local page press "Send to <platform>", as a draft or live. Each item goes once, and SEOmise checks it on your live site. Until SEOmise has set a platform up it shows Beta with "Ask for early access".

Connect

Open Settings → Hosted publishing in your project.

  • Shopify: type your store's address (for example harbour-bakery.myshopify.com) and press Connect Shopify. Shopify asks you to approve SEOmise's app, then sends you back.
  • Webflow: press Connect Webflow, choose the workspace and sites to share and approve.
  • Wix: press Connect Wix and add SEOmise's app to your site.

SEOmise keeps the access the platform gives it encrypted and never shows it. Only owners and admins (and anyone with "publish changes") can connect or disconnect.

A platform marked Beta is not ready yet: press Ask for early access and we will e-mail you when it is.

Choose where items go

Press Check the connection, then:

  • Shopify: the blog articles go to (pages always go to your online store pages);
  • Webflow: the site, the collection for articles and its Rich text field for the text (a plain text field for the summary is optional), and, if you like, a collection for local pages;
  • Wix: the author posts are written by (the first author on your blog is chosen for you).

Send an article or a page

Open the article (or the page in the Local Page Factory). Above the steps to copy it, Publish straight to offers:

  • As a draft (it stays unpublished on the platform; you publish it there), or
  • Published now (owners and admins). On Webflow this stages the item until you publish in Webflow, unless SEOmise allows publishing.

Tick I have read it and press Send. Each article or page goes to each platform once. If the platform stops answering while it is sent, check on the platform first: if it is not there, press I checked: it is not there. Send again.

Once it is live on your own domain, SEOmise opens the address and counts it as published when the title and opening text are there (and looks again 15 minutes later if not). For a draft, publish it on the platform, then say where it went live under the steps.

What is not sent

  • Photos from your SEOmise media library (photos already on your site are kept): add them on the platform.
  • On Wix, designed sections (hero, cards, steps…): Wix takes headings, paragraphs, lists, quotes and links.
  • Wix has no way for apps to add pages: local pages come with the steps to add them in the Wix editor.

Disconnect

Disconnect on the platform's card: SEOmise forgets its access at once. Items already sent stay on your site. Removing SEOmise's app on the platform does the same.
