What does SEOpilot do?
Short answerSEOpilot reads every page of your site, works out what your business does, scores how well the site is set up for search and prepares every improvement it can make, each with an estimated gain. In this version it prepares the improvements: nothing on your website changes.
SEOpilot is one button that does the groundwork of SEO for you. It is the first entry under Grow with SEOmise in the menu, and the first button in the top bar. You only see it when SEOpilot is switched on and in your plan.
What happens in a run
- Check: it looks at what is connected (your site connector, Google Search Console and Analytics, your Google Business Profile, AI writing and credits) and says what each gap means.
- Discover: it reads your pages with the website health scan (a scan less than a day old is reused), takes screenshots of your main pages where available, and reads titles, descriptions, headings and photos.
- Understand: it works out what your business does, your services and the areas you work in, then asks you to confirm them on the Is this you? card.
- Score: it measures your site's set-up out of 100.
- Plan: it prepares every improvement it can, in groups.
The groups of improvements
- Page titles in Google: the headline people see for each page in Google's results.
- Google descriptions: the two lines under each title.
- Image descriptions: short text that tells Google and screen readers what a photo shows (alt text).
- Business details for Google: structured data, a description of each page and of your business in a form Google and AI assistants read. Only facts SEOmise holds are used, never made-up ratings.
- Sharing previews: what a link to your site looks like on WhatsApp, Facebook or LinkedIn.
- Pages hidden from Google: pages your site links to that tell Google not to show them, or send Google to another address. Each one is decided on its own.
- Links between your pages: only where a page already mentions another page. No new words are written.
Each improvement shows what changes, why, how risky it is and how it would reach your site. Groups are sorted by estimated gain, biggest first.
The score
The score is made of four parts SEOmise already measures: Site health, Pages and content, AI search and Local presence. A part SEOmise cannot measure for you (for example Local presence without a connected Business Profile) is left out and the other parts count for more. It is never counted as zero.
The meter shows your score Now and After everything. The "after" figure uses the same formula as the audit, with the pages an improvement fixes counted as fixed. It is an estimate, not a promise of rankings.
What it does not do yet
SEOpilot prepares improvements. Approving them and sending them to your website are not part of this version, so nothing on your site has changed when a run finishes. If you want help sooner, use Ask our team on the last card.
Every platform
SEOpilot works whatever your site is built with. Each group says how its changes would reach your site:
- WordPress connector: every kind of change, with undo.
- Laravel connector: titles, descriptions and links go out by themselves, with undo; the rest comes with steps.
- Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento, Wix, Squarespace and Webflow: steps in your platform's own words, for you or our team to apply.
- JavaScript front ends (React, Vue and similar): a list for your developer, page by page.
- Any other site: exact steps for you or our team.
