How do I find content ideas with WonderWheel?

Short answerType a word or a service and spin: WonderWheel shows the questions, comparisons and other searches people make about it (with monthly searches where SEOmise has search data), Google's People also ask questions and the prompts people are likely to put to AI assistants. For your site suggests topics your site does not cover yet.

WonderWheel is under Grow with SEOmise → WonderWheel.

Spin a word

  1. On Spin a word, type a service, a problem or a product, such as "boiler repair". Your own services are offered as starting points.
  2. Press Spin. The wheel fills with ideas in slices:
    • Questions: searches with how, what, why, when, can and similar words.
    • Prepositions: searches with for, with, near, in and similar words.
    • Comparisons: vs, or, alternatives.
    • A to Z: other searches, by letter.
    • AI prompts and People ask (see below).
  3. Click an idea on the wheel to see it close up. From there you can Save to your ideas, Copy it, Search on Google, or press Spin this to spin it as a new word. In the lists, clicking an idea spins it.

Each search shows Searches a month, Cost per click (what advertisers pay for a click, a sign of how valuable it is) and Intent (what the person wants: to learn, compare, buy or find a place).

Where the ideas come from

  • Google search data: real searches that contain your word, with their numbers.
  • People also ask: the questions Google shows for it.
  • AI prompts (predicted): questions people are likely to ask AI assistants. AI assistants share no search numbers, so these have none.
  • If search data is not switched on for your workspace, the wheel shows AI ideas (no search data), without numbers.

Ideas are for your project's default search market, set under Search & keywords → Search settings. Without one, the country is taken from your web address.

For your site

The For your site tab reads your pages, services and areas, finds what you have not covered yet, and suggests topics, each with a few searches. It needs the AI.

Good to know

  • A spin uses credits for its AI part. The line under the box shows the credits per spin and the spins left today.
  • Spinning the same word in the same market within a week shows the earlier result instead of paying again.
  • Earlier spins lists your past spins. CSV downloads every idea of a spin for Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Spinning needs a role that can manage projects.
