The SEOmise Connector plugin for WordPress: what it does and where its links go

Short answerThe SEOmise Connector connects a WordPress site to SEOmise: it applies the fixes you approve, can undo each one and counts visits without cookies. On the Plugins screen it has Open SEOmise, Help and Settings, and SEOmise Connector Pro adds updates from SEOmise. Laravel and PHP sites have their own connector.

Updated October 21, 2026

The SEOmise Connector is the plugin that connects a WordPress site to SEOmise. Laravel sites use the SEOmise package and other PHP sites the PHP connector file: they speak the same protocol, so SEOmise works the same way on every platform.

What it does

  • Applies the fixes you approve in SEOmise: titles and descriptions, structured data, image alt text, internal links, page text, new pages and posts, sharing tags and footer links, redirects, accessibility and speed fixes, sitemaps, llms.txt and the IndexNow key.
  • Keeps a copy of what it changed, so each change can be undone from SEOmise.
  • Counts visits without cookies, and sends a health pulse every five minutes once the site is connected.
  • Only acts on commands SEOmise signed, within the permissions you choose on its Permissions tab.

Free and Pro

The plugin from WordPress.org is free and does all of the above. SEOmise Connector Pro, an add-on from seomise.com, adds updates from SEOmise with an automatic undo, and automatic updates. See "SEOmise Connector Free or Pro: what is the difference?".

On the Plugins screen

  • By SEOmise opens seomise.com and Visit plugin site the plugin's page there, each in a new tab.
  • View details shows the plugin's full description.
  • Next to Deactivate: Open SEOmise (the project this site is connected to, once it is connected), Help (this article) and Settings (the plugin's own page in WordPress).

Where to find it in WordPress

SEOmise in the WordPress sidebar, right under Dashboard. Its Overview tab connects the site, Permissions says what SEOmise may change, Activity lists everything SEOmise asked the site to do, and Settings holds the SEOmise address, updates and the visit statistics key.

Not on WordPress?

Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow and other hosted platforms have no plugin: SEOmise prepares each fix with steps for your platform and checks your live site afterwards.
