Backlink Verify Beta

A backlink report checker: know exactly what you're paying for, link by link

Upload the report a link seller or agency sent you, or paste the addresses: the backlink report checker reads every page for what was promised, what is there and what it could not check.

Illustration of the screen, without data.

Why it matters

From the problem to what SEOmise does

The problem

A report is not the same as a link

Link packages promise hundreds of "DA50+ dofollow" links, and the delivery report is a spreadsheet. Some pages never had the link, some link to the wrong page, some are marked nofollow or sponsored, and the same page appears three times. Checking by hand takes hours, and the numbers in the report are the seller's own.

What Backlink Verify does

A backlink report checker: know exactly what you're paying for, link by link

  • Every link read on its page. Is the link there, how many times, does it point to your page or another page of your site, what does it say, and is it followed, nofollow, sponsored or ugc, case and several values included.
  • Claimed against seen. What the seller promised next to what the page holds: "nofollow where followed was promised", "links to your home page, not the page ordered", another link text.
  • Redirects, canonical and robots. The redirects followed, the address the page finally answered at, its canonical tag, and a noindex in the page or its headers, so you can see what else matters about the page.

How it works

Four steps, start to finish

  1. Upload or pasteA CSV, TXT or Excel report, or a pasted list. Check before buying with a seller's sample links, or audit links already delivered.
  2. Match the columnsLinking page, your page, link text, followed or nofollow promised, link type, price, dates and the seller's DA, DR, AS or TF by their own names.
  3. See the price firstCredits per distinct link, shown before anything runs. Duplicates are checked once, and links we could not check are given back.
  4. Read the auditEvery link: present as described, not as described, missing or could not check, with what the page showed and how it differs from the claim.

Features

What you get with Backlink Verify

Every link read on its page

Is the link there, how many times, does it point to your page or another page of your site, what does it say, and is it followed, nofollow, sponsored or ugc, case and several values included.

Claimed against seen

What the seller promised next to what the page holds: "nofollow where followed was promised", "links to your home page, not the page ordered", another link text.

Redirects, canonical and robots

The redirects followed, the address the page finally answered at, its canonical tag, and a noindex in the page or its headers, so you can see what else matters about the page.

Could not check, never missing

A bot check or CAPTCHA, robots.txt, a site that refused us or a timeout is counted apart with the reason. We never try to get past a bot check.

Honest counts

Rows in the report, distinct addresses and distinct websites are three different numbers. The verified share counts only the addresses that could be checked.

Evidence you can keep

Every check is kept as it was made, with the words around the link, the time, our method version and a SHA-256 fingerprint of the evidence.

Seller figures stay the seller's

DA, DR, AS, TF and traffic figures from the report are shown as claimed by the seller, each by its own name. They are never shown as our figures or turned into one another.

Re-checks and what changed

Opt in to check the same links again after 7, 30 and 90 days and see which were removed, moved or changed from followed to nofollow.

Into your link store

Links we saw on their pages join the project's backlink lists, Found on the web and the coverage report as one record, never a second copy.

Export and share

CSV, Excel and PDF with the evidence and the limitations, and a private share link that expires and can be revoked, with the seller's prices left out if you choose.

Free public check Beta

Check a few links without an account, with a bot check and daily limits. Nothing about who asked is kept with the result. In early access.

What it needs

No surprises after you sign up

Turn a card over for the detail.

The report or the addresses

The report or the addresses

The pages that should link to you, in a CSV, TXT or Excel file or pasted. Your page can be a column or one address for all rows.

Credits

Credits

Each distinct link checked costs credits from your workspace (one by default). The price is shown before you start, and links that could not be checked are given back.

Questions

Backlink Verify: common questions

Does a verified link mean Google counts it?

No. A check shows that the page held the link, as described, when and where we read it. Nobody outside a search engine can see whether it indexed the page or how it values a link, so the report says "index status unknown".

Why are DA and DR "claimed by the seller"?

Domain Authority (Moz), Domain Rating (Ahrefs), Authority Score (Semrush) and Trust Flow (Majestic) are each made by a different company. The figures in a report are the seller's; we keep them with their names and never present them as ours or as one another.

What does "could not check" mean?

The page did not let us see it: a bot check or CAPTCHA, robots.txt, a refusal, a timeout or a page too large to read. Those links are never counted as missing, and their credits are given back.

Is a nofollow link worthless?

No. Nofollow, ugc and sponsored links can still bring visitors, mentions and discovery. The audit only says whether the link is marked as the seller promised.

Can I check links before I buy?

Yes, with a pre-purchase check of the sample links a seller shows. It says what those pages hold today. It cannot verify links that have not been delivered, and the report says so.

Does it say whether a seller is honest?

No. It shows what each page held against what the report claimed, with the evidence. It never accuses a seller; you decide what to do with the result.
