What's new

What changed in each release of SEOmise, newest first. This site runs 2.68.0.

2.68.0 5 November 2026This version

  • A calmer sidebar. Collapse it to a slim icon rail that opens when you point at it or tab into it, or pin it open (kept with your account). Search (⌘K) and the light/dark switch sit at its foot. It never opens over a view in full screen, such as the site map.
  • Help: "Light and dark mode" is new and the Theme article is corrected (staff edits are left alone).
  • Migration: 2027_10_08_268001_user_appearance_prefs adds users.appearance (JSON, nullable) for each person's mode and sidebar pin. Additive and safe to run twice.

2.67.1 5 November 2026

The site map has a Full screen button at every screen size (owner report: "On the smaller screen there is no way to make this full screen").

  • Full screen on the map itself. The top button of the map's controls (bottom right, above zoom) is Full screen, on computers, tablets and phones. Press F for it too; Exit full screen or Esc brings you back to the same place on the page with the same page chosen. It uses the browser's own full screen, or fills the window where the browser has none (iPhone Safari).
  • In full screen the map fills the screen and the chosen page's details slide in from the right as a drawer (a sheet from the bottom on a phone). Hide the page details puts it aside without losing the page, Page details brings it back. The map's bar and controls move clear of the drawer, and the quick-access dock is hidden.
  • On narrower screens (up to 1366 pixels wide) the chosen page's details open under the map, so the map keeps its full width, and the map leaves room under itself so the quick-access dock no longer covers it.
  • The map's top bar no longer cuts off its last buttons when the map is narrow: it wraps onto a second row.
  • Fit to view. The expand-arrows button fits the whole map in the frame; it is now called "Fit to view", and its key is 0 (F is Full screen).
  • No migration. The help article "How do I use the tools on See the magic?" says where Full screen is; sites that still hold the earlier wording take the new words when the update runs (staff edits are left alone).

2.67.0 5 November 2026

Agency reporting, part 2: a free switch-over from other reporting tools, the cost per client on the plans page and your own figures in reports. The MiseGuard smart firewall is built, in Beta.

  • Free switch-over for agencies. Moving from another reporting tool? Ask from Reports → Move my reports over, or on the new Free switch-over page, and our team rebuilds your client reports for free. Staff see the requests in Support → Assistance → Switch-over queue. The service is a setting; while it is off it shows Beta with "Ask for early access".
  • What each client costs. The plans page shows the cost per client of the Agency package for 10, 25, 50 and 100 clients. Lower prices at higher volumes are two settings (Settings → Policies → Billing), off for now; a step only ever lowers the price.
  • Your own figures. Bring calls, sales, ad spend and other figures into reports from a CSV file, checked row by row. They show in a report of their own, as an optional part of the monthly client pack, on a KPI board and in the client portal. Google Sheets (read-only) is ready and stays in Beta until Google approves the access.
  • Comparison pages for client reporting tools are ready as drafts, and every comparison page's "last checked" date is now an admin setting. A draft never shows on the site, also not through the site editor's compare block.
  • MiseGuard smart firewall (Beta, off). Firewall insights for each protected site: attack campaigns in plain words, suggestions to block an address, a network, a probe path or a user agent, rules in force with their countdown and Undo, and "This was me" on a recent block. Low-risk blocks of one address can apply by themselves, each for 7 days with one-click Undo; everything else waits for an owner or admin. The rules reach WordPress (Pro) and Laravel sites as a signed set; other sites get exact steps for their host or Cloudflare. It stays off (mg_aifw_on) behind the MiseGuard release hold.
  • Fixes found by the full checks: ConsentGuard SEO's history colours come from the theme; a refused cross-workspace session is recorded once per background job (SEC-L-038).

Connectors: WordPress 0.51.0 with SEOmise Connector Pro 1.4.0, Laravel 0.41.0 and universal 0.35.0 (MiseGuard builds WordPress 1.10.0, WordPress Pro 1.2.0, Laravel 1.8.0, Universal 1.7.0): the smart firewall's signed rule set (firewall.ai_rules; the universal file answers "unsupported" and SEOmise shows the manual steps), request paths compared decoded, carrier-grade NAT never blocked.

Migration: four additive migrations (2027_10_03_267701, 2027_10_07_267001, 2027_10_07_267002, 2027_10_07_267003), safe to run twice.

2.66.0 5 November 2026

Agency reporting: a summary in plain words written from your figures, goals per client, a board of the clients who need attention today, and questions across all your clients for AI assistants.

For agencies and teams

  • A summary in plain words (AI summaries). Reports, client update e-mails and Proof of Progress can open with a short summary, written with AI only from the figures in the report. Any number that is not among those figures is refused and costs nothing; you read and edit it before you add it, and it goes through the report's sign-off or the e-mail's approval. Once a report is signed off or sent, its summary is locked. Press Write on the "Summary in plain words" card (1 AI credit, shown on the button). Nothing the website, a keyword or a person wrote is given to the AI: only SEOmise's own figures and labels.
  • Client goals. Set a target per client project (clicks, visits, leads, searches in the top 10, health, average position and more) for a period, under Project → Reports → Client goals. Each goal shows on track, at risk or behind, where it stands and what was expected by now, checked every day from the stored figures. A goal that slips can start an automation ("A client goal slipped"); the dashboard has a "Client goals on track" tile, the Reports centre a goals report, and the client portal a Goals tab with the goals you choose to show the client.
  • Who needs attention today (Agency → Needs attention). Every client with the figures you choose, the change since the period before (7, 28 or 90 days), the worst goal status and why a client needs attention (a figure down 20 % or more, health below 60, a goal behind or at risk). Filter by account manager (new: one per client group), client or only those needing attention. On a phone, a card per client.
  • Questions across all your clients for AI assistants. An AI assistant connected to SEOmise can answer one question across every project you can see, such as "which client lost the most clicks this month", with totals. It never reads another workspace. Team members who see only some projects can now connect an assistant that reads only those projects (read-only, at most 2 connections each).
  • All of this reads figures SEOmise already stores, so it works for every platform; nothing is installed on a website. While a module is switched off it shows Beta with "Ask for early access".

2.65.0 5 November 2026

The MiseGuard Security Checkup (in early access). It is installed switched off: until staff switch it on, it shows a Beta badge with "Ask for early access" in the app and on the public MiseGuard page, and nothing runs.

  • It only reads, only on sites you have verified (the site's own connector for that address, or a verified domain), and never signs in or sends a test attack.

Security (release review, 5 November 2026):

  • One ownership rule for the security assessment and the checkup: a connector counts only for the address it was verified for, in its own workspace.
  • Nothing leaves while the checkup is off: staff's Sync now, the database update and checkup alerts all wait for the switch.
  • Approving a fix on Changes checks the switches and the plan again, as asking for it does.
  • A site the daily checkup cannot check no longer keeps the other sites waiting.
  • Publisher for any PHP site 1.0.1: the article preview on the Publisher's own screen shows the article through the allow-list again, as the article page does (SEC-L-037). Publisher for Laravel is unchanged (1.0.0).
  • The old Plugins pages redirect to the software library only, and say so explicitly (SEC-L-037).

Migration: 2027_10_02_265001 (six new tables, nothing else changed). New help article: miseguard-security-checkup.
