How do I roll back a change?

Short answerOpen the change under Plan & changes → Changes and press Roll back. Your site puts back what it saved before the change.

Updated 14 October 2026

Steps

  1. Open Plan & changes → Changes and open the change.
  2. Press Roll back.
  3. Confirm "Restore the site to how it was before this change?".

The change moves to Rolled back. In Speed fixes, the Undo button on a fix does the same. In Broken links & 404s, Undo… opens the change.

What happens on your site

The connector kept a copy of everything it changed. Rolling back puts those values back.

If someone has edited the same page text in your site's editor since, the connector stops rather than overwrite their work, and says the page was edited. Put that page back by hand.

Good to know

  • Rolling back works even when your plan does not include direct publishing, so you can always undo what SEOmise did.
  • You need the owner, admin or SEO manager role.
  • The site must allow undo in the connector's settings.
  • A rollback cannot itself be rolled back. Propose the original change again instead.
  • If nothing from a change reached your site, there is nothing to roll back. Dismiss a change you no longer want before it is published.
  • SEOmise also rolls a change back by itself when it fails its live check.
