How do I fix missing pages and broken links?
Short answerTools → Broken links & 404s lists the pages people and Google can no longer reach, and links that lead nowhere. It suggests the best live page for each missing one, then sets up the redirect for you or gives you a file in your platform's format.
Find them
- Open Tools → Broken links & 404s. If it is not in your plan yet, you can add it from Workspace → Store.
- Press Scan now.
SEOmise gathers missing addresses from your latest website scan, from Google Search Console (when your Google data is connected), and from the addresses real visitors asked for (when your site connector logs them). It also checks the links to other websites on your main pages. Addresses from Google and visitors are checked again before they are listed.
While you keep using it, SEOmise also scans again every week by itself.
The lists
Missing pages, Broken links on your pages, Links to other websites, Redirected and Ignored. Found by shows where each address came from, with its visits, Google views and links.
Choose where visitors go
For each missing page, SEOmise suggests a live page from words in the old address, the page's name, page titles and the site section. Without a good match, it offers the section page or the home page and says why. You can type another address in Send visitors to.
With a connector that sets redirects
Pick the pages and press Approve (the button shows how many redirects), or Propose only to leave the approval to someone else. Redirect on a row does one page. SEOmise sets up permanent (301) redirects on your site, checks each one, and lists them under Redirected. More redirects at once than the bulk limit (10 by default) count as high risk and need an owner or admin. Each redirect can be undone on its own.
Without one
Pick the format your site or host uses: Apache (.htaccess), nginx, Laravel routes, the SEOmise PHP connector file, a Shopify import file (CSV), Squarespace URL mappings, Netlify, Vercel or a plain list. Follow the steps, press Download the redirects, put them in place, then press Check the redirects. SEOmise opens each old address and confirms it now leads to its new page.
Ignore moves an address to the Ignored list; Bring back returns it. Export CSV saves the list as a spreadsheet file.
