Fixes on Shopify Beta
Shopify SEO fixes applied for you: approved first, checked on your live store, undoable
Approve a fix in SEOmise and the Shopify app applies it: titles, meta descriptions, alt text, structured data and redirects, checked on your live store and undoable.

Why it matters
From the problem to what SEOmise does
Fixes copied by hand, product by product
An audit tells you 40 products have no meta description and 90 images have no alt text. On Shopify that means opening each one in the admin and typing it in.
Shopify SEO fixes applied for you: approved first, checked on your live store, undoable
- Titles and meta descriptions. The SEO title and description of products, collections, pages and blog articles, in the fields Shopify keeps for them.
- Image alt text. Alt text for product images, matched to the pictures the scan found on each product page.
- Structured data. Product, organisation and article markup printed in your pages' head by the app's theme embed, which you switch on once in the theme editor.
How it works
Four steps, start to finish
- Link your storeInstall SEOmise for Shopify and approve the permissions it asks for (Settings → Connect your website → Store apps).
- Review the changeEach fix shows what the page says now and what it will say. Edit it, then approve it.
- Applied through the appSEOmise sends it to your store with Shopify's own Admin API and keeps the earlier values.
- Checked and undoableSEOmise looks at your live store to confirm it. Undo puts the earlier values back, the whole change or one item.
Features
What you get with Fixes on Shopify
Titles and meta descriptions
The SEO title and description of products, collections, pages and blog articles, in the fields Shopify keeps for them.
Image alt text
Alt text for product images, matched to the pictures the scan found on each product page.
Structured data
Product, organisation and article markup printed in your pages' head by the app's theme embed, which you switch on once in the theme editor.
Redirects
Old addresses sent to the right page with Shopify's own URL redirects (permanent, 301).
Undo, item by item
SEOmise keeps what each field said before. If someone edited it in Shopify since, undo asks before it overwrites.
Knows your store
Your products, collections and blog posts are read through the app, so articles link to real product pages, name your products and skip topics your blog covers.
Shopify's permissions only
Products, files and navigation are asked for only while fixes are on. No theme code edits, no customer data.
Before and after

Questions
Fixes on Shopify: common questions
What can it not change?
The home page's title and description (Online Store → Preferences), canonical addresses and robots tags (your theme sets them), temporary redirects and "gone" answers. Those come with the steps for your Shopify admin.
Why does structured data need the theme editor?
Shopify lets apps add to your pages only through an app embed the store owner switches on. Switch on "SEOmise structured data" once under App embeds.
What if I edit a field in Shopify after a fix?
Your edit stays. If you then undo the fix, SEOmise sees the field changed and asks before it puts the old value back.
Is it available now?
It is in Beta until the Shopify app is approved. Ask for early access; until then every fix comes with the steps for your Shopify admin.
