One page at a time
When you press Do it for me or Help me do it on a check such as Every page has a meta description, the AI writes a suggestion for each page separately. Each row is tagged AI or From the page.
- If the AI's answer for one page cannot be read, SEOmise asks once more for that page. If it still cannot be read, that page starts from its own text (its first paragraph, title or main heading) and the next pages still use the AI.
- If something stops the AI for everyone (your credits ran out, your AI spending limit was reached, or the AI is briefly unavailable), the remaining pages start from their own text and the note says why. Nothing is charged for them.
- The line above the list says how many the AI wrote, for example "11 pages · 9 by AI, 2 from the page's own text · 9 credits used".
Watching it write
While the suggestions are written you see the work itself: a bar with how far it has got ("4 of 11 pages", or "23 of 58 images on 9 pages" for alt text), the page or picture being written now, and each suggestion as it arrives, tagged AI or From the page, with its length. After the first few, the bar says about how long is left. The list keeps the newest one in view; scroll up to read and it stays where you are, with Jump to current to follow again.
- Stop and review what is done stops the AI after the page it is on: the rest start from their own text, nothing is charged for them, and Try again writes them later.
- You can close the window: the writing goes on, and you are told (in the bell, and by e-mail or push as your notification choices say) when the suggestions are ready. Opening "Do it for me" again shows where it is.
Try again
The note above the list, for example "The AI wrote 9 of 11; 2 use the page's own text. Try again for those.", has a Try again button. It asks the AI again for only those pages, in the same review: the suggestions you already edited stay as you left them. You pay one credit for each page the AI writes now, and nothing for a page it still cannot write.
You can also edit any suggestion yourself before you approve it: the counter under each one shows the recommended length (120 to 156 characters for a meta description, 30 to 60 for a title). A suggestion a little longer than the AI was asked for is shortened at the end of a sentence or word, never cut mid-word.
Pages with no text of their own
A request form, a privacy policy or a terms page often has no paragraph of its own. The AI is told what kind of page it is (form, privacy, terms, cookies, contact, about, FAQ), its title and headings, its address and your business details (your business name, the services you rank for and your area), with a few of your site's own descriptions as examples of your style. When the AI is not used, or cannot write it, the page starts from a template for its type filled in with those details, for example "Read the privacy policy of Harbour Bakery: how we collect, use and protect your personal data…". It is tagged Template: check it: read it, change it or re-write it with AI. You never get an empty box.
Re-write one suggestion with AI
Each suggestion has a re-write button (the circular arrow) beside its tag:
- Press it and the AI writes that one again, on its own card, while you keep working on the others. It costs one AI suggestion's credits, shown on the button; if the AI cannot write it, the card says why and nothing is charged.
- The ⋯ beside it lets you add a short wish first, such as "make it shorter", "more local" or "mention Dublin".
- Undo puts back the text you had before.
- When the AI could not write some suggestions, Re-write all with AI above the list asks for them one after the other; the card being written stays in view, and Stop ends it after the current one.
The same button sits beside the single suggestions on a page's own screen (Pages → a page: the page title and the meta description in the AI assistant, and each image's alt text) and beside each picture's alt text under Accessibility → Fix it. Nothing changes on your site until you send the suggestion for approval.
Choosing the AI model
Writing with: at the top of To do and of each "Do it for me" panel shows the AI and model that write your suggestions, for example "Anthropic · Claude Opus 5.5". When your platform offers more than one, choose another there: SEOmise remembers it for you on this project and uses it for every suggestion and re-write. The credits per suggestion are the same whichever model writes it.
