What is the fix jar, and what does Fix all do?
Short answerThe fix jar collects the fixes you pick from reports. Fix all then makes them in one go: through your site connector where it can, and as ready-to-apply steps everywhere else.
Add fixes to the jar
Press Add to fix jar next to a problem, for example on Website health → Issues or in the Health report. Some problems can also be added page by page.
The jar sits at the bottom of the screen. It shows how many fixes are in it and what they cost in credits. Open it to see the list, or to take a fix out.
Fixes go in the jar only for your own website. Owners, admins and SEO managers can add and run fixes.
Fix all
- Press Fix all on the jar. The button shows the credits.
- The dialog says how many fixes will be sent to your website (checked on the live page and undoable) and how many will come ready for you to apply, with the steps and the text to copy. It shows the total before anything starts.
- Confirm. SEOmise works through the fixes in the background. Press Show progress to follow them.
If you do not have enough credits, the dialog says how many more you need. Top up, or take some fixes out of the jar.
What each fix becomes
- Fixed: sent through your connector, checked on the live page. See it or undo it opens the change.
- Ready for you to apply: steps for your platform, the values to copy and any files. Make the change, then press Mark as done.
- Done by you: you made it by hand and marked it done.
- Could not be fixed: with the reason.
A fix that is waiting for approval says who it waits for. Fix all approves a change only where your role may approve it, and never approves new page text or new pages by itself.
Credits
Each fix holds its credits while it is made, and is charged only once. If your site does not keep a change, its credits are given back.
