What it compares
For every page a scan rendered (see "How do I scan a site that builds its pages with JavaScript?"), SEOmise keeps the page as your server sent it and the page as a browser showed it. Open a page in the list to see both side by side: words, links to your other pages, title, main heading, description, canonical address and robots tag.
The four findings
- Text only after JavaScript: at least 50 more words (SEOmise can change the number), or a main heading, appear only once the scripts ran.
- Links only after JavaScript: links to other pages of your site that only scripts add.
- Title only after JavaScript: scripts write the title, or change it.
- Description, canonical or robots tag only after JavaScript: scripts write or change one of these tags in the page head.
Why it matters
Search engines that do not run scripts, and the crawlers of AI assistants, read the page your server sends. Google renders pages later and not always. What only scripts add may be found late, read wrong or never count.
How to fix it
Each finding has the three usual choices:
- I'll fix it myself: the steps for your site's platform (WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Webflow, Squarespace, Laravel, plain PHP, a JavaScript app or a static site) to put the content in the page your server sends, and how to check it: open the page's source (Ctrl+U) and search for it.
- Help me do it: the same steps one at a time.
- Do it for me: our team makes the change, at the price shown on the button.
The next scan compares the pages again, and a fixed finding disappears.
