How do I watch my CDN in SEOmise?
Short answerWebsite health → CDN and edge shows how your website is served: its public set-up (DNS, certificate, cache headers, answer times) and, once you connect your CDN account with a read-only token, its traffic, cache and security figures. SEOmise only reads; nothing on your CDN is changed.
A CDN (content delivery network) keeps copies of your pages close to your visitors so the site loads quickly. SEOmise can watch it for you.
Start watching
- Open your project and go to Website health → CDN and edge.
- Press Start watching. SEOmise first checks that the website is yours: through the SEOmise connector on the site (the WordPress plugin, the Laravel package or the PHP connector), or a TXT record you add at the company that runs your domain's DNS. The page shows the exact name and value to copy.
- Press Check again once the record is in place. DNS changes can take a while to be seen.
Public checks or your CDN account
- Keep public checks only: SEOmise reads what anyone can see (DNS, certificate, cache headers and how fast the site answers). Nothing to connect.
- Connect my CDN account: for Cloudflare or Bunny. Create a token with only the read permissions listed on the page and paste it in. The token is kept encrypted and never shown again. You then get the Traffic, Cache and Security tabs.
The tabs
- Overview: is the site answering, is the certificate in date, and what could be better.
- Traffic and Cache: requests, data sent and how much is served from the CDN's cache, for the period you choose.
- Security: the security status your CDN reports.
- Alerts and History: checks, alerts and changes of the connection.
All your websites
Workspace → CDN and edge lists every website you watch in one place: whether it answers, whether its certificate is in date and how much is served from the cache. Open a site for its own screens.
CDN and edge has to be part of your plan; if it is not, the page tells you.
