How do I connect my Google Business Profile?

Short answerOpen Local → Local overview, press Connect with Google and allow SEOmise to manage your Business Profiles. Then choose the business location that belongs to this project and press Attach.

Updated 14 October 2026

SEOmise talks to Google directly, so this works the same whatever your website is built with.

Before you start

  • Use the Google account that owns or manages the Business Profile.
  • Connecting needs the Owner, Admin or SEO manager role in your workspace.
  • Google Business Profile has to be part of your plan. If it is not, the page tells you.

Connect

  1. Open your project and go to Local → Local overview.
  2. Press Connect with Google and sign in to Google.
  3. Allow the permission to manage your Business Profiles. Without it the connection cannot work, and SEOmise asks you to connect again with it ticked.
  4. Back in SEOmise, your business accounts are imported. This takes a moment and the page updates by itself.
  5. Under Choose a business location, pick the account, then press Attach next to the right location. Your plan sets how many locations you can attach; the page shows how many are in use.

What SEOmise can do with it

SEOmise reads and manages only the profiles you attach: business details, posts, reviews and replies, photos and performance. It never sees your Google password. Changes to the business name, address, categories or service area always need an approver in your workspace.

The profile is synced every day and reviews every two hours. People who manage data can press Sync now at any time.

After the first sync and analysis, the overview shows the GBP Health Score. It is made of eight weighted parts: profile completeness, category fit, consistent name, address and phone, review management, posting activity, fresh photos, how well your pages cover what people search for, and local visibility. Parts that cannot be measured yet are left out, and the coverage figure tells you how much was measured.

If something goes wrong

  • Google is not set up on this installation yet: a platform administrator has to add the Google Cloud details first.
  • Connected to Google – API access not available yet: Google accepted the sign-in but has not given SEOmise access to Business Profile data yet. Your connection is kept; nothing needs reconnecting.
  • Google no longer accepts the saved sign-in: press Connect with Google again.
  • The location is not verified: you can still prepare drafts, but Google only accepts review replies for verified locations. Verification happens with Google; Check with Google on the overview lists the methods Google offers.

Disconnecting

Disconnect Google on the overview revokes access at Google, deletes the saved sign-in and stops syncing for every location of that connection. Scheduled posts go back to drafts.
