How do I create and schedule Google posts?

Short answerOpen Local → Posts, write an update, event or offer (or ask for an AI draft) and press Request approval. An approver then chooses Approve and schedule or Publish now, and SEOmise publishes the post on Google at that time.

Updated 14 October 2026

Posts are short updates, events and offers that appear on your Google Business Profile.

Write a post

  1. Open Local → Posts and go to New post.
  2. Choose Update, Event or Offer. Events and offers need a title and start and end times; an offer can also have a coupon code, a link to redeem it online and terms.
  3. Write the text (10 to 1,500 characters). If you like, add a button (Learn more, Book, Call, Sign up, Order or Shop) with a link to your website.
  4. Press Save draft.

Want a head start? Enter an optional topic and a page of your website, then press Draft with AI. The draft uses only your profile, services and pages: no invented offers, prices or claims. Read every draft before approving it.

Approve and publish

  • When a draft is ready, press Request approval.
  • An approver (the owner, an admin or someone with the Approver role) picks a time under Schedule for and presses Approve and schedule, or presses Publish now.
  • SEOmise publishes scheduled posts at the chosen time. Live posts are listed under On Google, each with View on Google.

Good to know

  • Google posts have to be part of your plan. Without them, existing posts stay visible on Google but you cannot create new ones here.
  • Editing or deleting a live post needs an approver; deleting it here removes it from Google too.
  • Disconnecting Google turns scheduled posts back into drafts.
