How do I connect Google Search Console, Analytics, Ads and PageSpeed?
Short answerOpen Visitors → Google data, tick Search Console, Google Analytics 4 and (where offered) Google Ads, press Connect Google and choose a property for each. PageSpeed needs no sign-in: its tests run under Website health → Page speed.
Google data has to be part of your plan, and a platform administrator has to have set up Google for your installation. Connecting needs the Owner, Admin or SEO manager role. It works the same whatever your website is built with, because SEOmise reads from Google.
Connect
- Open Visitors → Google data.
- Tick what SEOmise may read: Search Console and Google Analytics 4 (read only), and Google Ads if your installation has it switched on. You can add more later; Google only asks for what is new.
- Press Connect Google and sign in with a Google account that can see your properties.
- Back in SEOmise, choose the property for each source (for Ads, the customer account, plus a manager account ID if access comes through one) and press Use this property.
What happens next
- Figures are imported every day and kept as history. The first import runs a few minutes after you choose a property. Search Console figures arrive about two days late.
- Day 0 is fixed at the first successful import, so you can compare the latest 28 days with where you started.
- You see clicks, impressions, average position, sessions, engaged sessions and key events, with search terms, channels, countries and landing pages. A small sample of pages is checked every day with Google's URL Inspection to show whether they are indexed.
- Google Ads figures are kept apart from search figures and used only as evidence of demand and cost per click. SEOmise never changes your campaigns.
- Import now imports at once and Change picks another property. Pausing or disconnecting keeps everything already imported.
If Google stops accepting the saved sign-in, imports pause, the account shows Sign in again and the person who connected it gets an e-mail asking them to reconnect. Nothing imported so far is lost.
PageSpeed
Website health → Page speed runs Google's Lighthouse lab tests on your busiest pages every week, and again when a page changes; unchanged pages are not tested twice. Test a page now runs one at once. Tests count towards your plan's monthly PageSpeed tests. Field data from real visitors (CrUX) needs a Google API key, which a platform administrator adds.
