How long does Live view keep visits, and how do I add storage?

Short answerLive view keeps each visit for 90 days, within 1 GB of storage per site. If a site fills its storage sooner, the oldest visits are removed first. Your traffic reports keep their daily figures for good. Owners and admins can add storage per site for a monthly price.

About Live view: see real-time website visitors, right now, and where they click

Updated 31 October 2026

90 days or the storage, whichever comes first

Every site in Live view keeps its visits (page views, clicks, scrolls, mouse positions and earlier copies of its pages) for the period in Analyse → Visitors → Live view → Settings → Keep visits for: 90 days for a new site, or 7, 14, 30 or 60 days if you choose less. A site that chose a longer period before keeps it until you change it.

Within that period each site has 1 GB of storage. A busy site can fill it before 90 days. Then, every night, the oldest visits are removed first (with their page views and clicks), then the oldest earlier copies of its pages, until the site uses 95% of its storage again. The current copy of each page, which the heat maps are drawn on, always stays.

Your reports keep their figures

Before any visit is removed, each finished day becomes daily report figures: visitors, visits, page views and one-page visits, and the break-downs by page (with entry and exit pages and the steps between pages), channel, source, search engine, social network, device, browser, operating system and country. They hold counts only, nothing about a visitor, and they are never removed by the keep period or the storage limit. So Analyse → Visitors → Traffic, its PDF and CSV export and the Traffic report in Reports still show the old months, also for a period of 12 months.

Heat maps, replays, the visitor list, Visitor behaviour and the other screens that look at single visits cover the visits still kept.

See how full it is

Live view → Settings → Storage shows what the site uses of its storage (for example 640 MB of 1 GB), with the share used. When a site passes 80%, the workspace owners get one message (in the bell and by e-mail, as their notification settings say). It can come again after the site has gone back under 80%.

Add storage

Owners and admins press Add storage, choose how many GB (one at a time, up to 50 GB a site) and see the price a month before they confirm. Extra storage costs €2 a GB a month unless our team set another price; the screen always shows the current one.

  • On a card subscription, the storage is added at once and billed on your next invoice, prorated, then every month.
  • Otherwise (paid another way, or another currency), it is sent to our team as a request. The screen says Requested until our team adds it; you can Withdraw it meanwhile.
  • Bought storage renews every month. Stop 1 GB ends one GB at the end of the paid period; the site keeps it until then.

It works the same for every kind of website (WordPress, Laravel, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, static sites and any other platform): the storage is counted on SEOmise's side, nothing changes on your site.
