What do Positions and the Rank dashboard show?
Short answerSearch & keywords → Positions lists every tracked search with its start, its change over 1, 7 and 30 days and its whole life, best position, the extras Google shows and badges for trends, pogo sticking, flickering and your own pages swapping. Tags and weights change the averages. Workspace → Rank dashboard puts every project on one chart. Both read stored checks only, so opening them costs nothing.
Positions
Search & keywords → Positions shows one row per search in the market you choose:
- where it started, where it is now, its change over 1, 7 and 30 days and over its whole life, its best position and the extras Google shows (such as a featured snippet or a local pack);
- a volatility score and badges: trending up or down, pogo sticking (swinging back and forth), flickering (in and out of the results) and your own pages swapping places for it.
Tags and weights: give searches tags, and a weight from 0 to 1000. Weights count in the average position, coverage and visibility (marked "Weighted"); counts by position band stay plain. Select searches (or all) to tag, weight, pause, track, delete or export them.
Check days and hours: in the project's settings, choose the days and the hours checks may run, in the project's own time zone.
Insights
The Insights tab compares two dates (the actual dates with data): winners, losers, new in the top 3 and top 10, lost, pages swapping, and the searches trending, pogo sticking or flickering, each saying what it needs before it can be shown.
Rank dashboard
Workspace → Rank dashboard shows every project you can open: a chart with one line per website and a card per project with the dates compared, top 3, 10, 20 and 100 then and now, new, improved, lost, declined and unchanged searches, and its ten best searches.
Check rankings now skips searches already checked today, so a second press the same day does not pay again.
