How does AskMise on our website work?

Short answerAskMise chats with you straight away and answers questions about SEOmise. It asks for your name, e-mail or phone only when you want something our team must follow up, such as a demo, a call, a quote or the free report, and it says why. "No thanks" is always fine: Mise carries on helping.

Open AskMise with the chat button at the bottom of any page and type what you would like to know: what SEOmise does, prices, whether it works with your website, how to connect it. Mise answers at once, in a sentence or two, from SEOmise's own help, plans and facts. Buttons under an answer are shortcuts; you can always type instead.

When Mise asks for your details

Mise only asks when what you want needs our team to get back to you, and it says why in the same reply as its answer:

You ask for Mise asks for
A demo Your name and e-mail, so our team can send you the demo times. Then you pick a day and time in the chat.
A call or a call back Your name, e-mail and phone number
A quote, or prices for your own case Your name and e-mail
The free report or the findings by e-mail Your e-mail
A ticket, or to talk to a person Your name and e-mail, so a person can answer you
To be contacted, or help signing up Your name and e-mail

You can give them however you like, all at once ("I'm Sarah from Acme, [email protected]") or one at a time. A greeting such as "Hi" is never taken as your name. If you ask something else instead, Mise answers it first and may remind you once, never on every message.

Saying no

"No thanks", "not now" or "I'm just looking" is fine: Mise says so and carries on helping, and does not ask again in that conversation. Every ask has a Not now button.

Your details are checked as you give them

  • E-mail: written correctly, a domain that can receive e-mail (a domain that says it takes no mail is refused), not a temporary inbox, not an obvious made-up address. A mistyped provider gets "Did you mean gmail.com?" with the fix as a button.
  • Phone: checked for your country (the region you picked on the website, or where you are), with plain words when it does not fit, for example "A mobile number in Ireland has 10 digits starting with 08, like 087 123 4567". Numbers are kept in international form (+353…).
  • After two tries that do not pass, Mise offers Skip for now, so a detail never holds up the chat.

Before anything is kept

When Mise has what it needs, it shows your details with Edit next to each and the line about how we use them, with a link to the privacy policy and an optional, unticked box for SEO tips and news. Nothing is saved until you press OK, go ahead. The conversation itself keeps "[e-mail]" and "[phone]" in place of what you typed; your details are kept, encrypted, with what you asked for, so the right person follows it up.

If the team asks for details first

Our team can choose to have Mise ask for your name, e-mail and phone before the chat starts. Then too, "Hi" is greeted back rather than taken as your name, a sentence with your details is understood, and Skip for now (after a "no", a question or two tries) lets you carry on and ask your question.
